Sweet potato is oval and cylinderical in shape. It has a flesh with colors ranging white, orange and yellow. Sweet potato with white flesh are firm while orange one are softer. Sweet potatoes contain high amounts of fiber and potassium. They have more grams of natural sugars than regular potato but more overall nutrients with fewer calories. They can be baked, steamed, roasted, grilled or deep fried.
